SOUTH AFRICAN STUDENTS

If you have applied for financial aid from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS), kindly consult the NSFAS Application Portal for your application outcome (www.nsfas.org.za). New first year students may also apply for UWC Financial Aid and First Year Merit Award once they have received their final acceptance and student numbers.

Please be advised that students who can provide a full cost bursary letter will pay R1370.00. Non resident students without a bursary letter must pay R4290.00 before registration. Resident students must pay R4840.00 before registration. All international students must settle total cost on the day of registration.​

Full cost-bursary/scholarship holders must consult the Financial Aid Office Helpdesk at

+27 21 959 9753/2737 to obtain registration clearance.

​INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

All international students are required to pay the full tuition and residence fees upfront, on every year of registration.

All students who have permanent African citizenship will be required to pay the same tuition fees as South African citizens unless the study programmes for which they are enrolling are marketed at a specific price.

International students without African citizenship will be required to pay the international fees as published.

All fees are RAND (ZAR) denominated.

Pre-Registration Clearance 

By now you have received your Final Acceptance Letter from UWC and have confirmed your acceptance of this offer. You may now begin Pre-registration procedures before Online Registration or physically visit UWC for Assisted Registration.

Pre Registration Clearance Requirements

1. Exemption/Evaulation Clearance

Supply proof of Exemption Status from USAf in the case of Postgraduate Registration or an Evaluation of Foreign Qualifications Certificate from SAQA in the case of Postgraduate Registration to : [email protected].

 2. Immigration Clearance

Supply proof of the appropriate Immigration Documentation in order to study in South Africa to [email protected]. For more information please visit the IMMIGRATION page.

3. Medical Clearance

Supply proof of Medical Cover from the date of Registration to the official End of the Academic Year (December) to: [email protected]. For more information please visit the MEDICAL page.

4. Financial Clearance

Registration

After completing the Pre-Registration clearance processes and you have received confirmation that there are not clearance issues outstanding, you may proceed to Register in one of the following ways:

1. Online Registration

  • Visit the Student Portal by clicking https://student.uwc.ac.za/ and follow the prompts.
  • Should you have any difficulty and would like assistance with this process, contact the UWC Contact Centre.

2. Assisted Registration

  • Visit UWC during the Annual Registrations and be assisted by duly appointed UWC personnel with your Registration or click /Students/Pages/Registration-Information.aspx for more information.
  • Please have original documents available for presentation to UWC personnel.
