Programme Duration

You should be able to complete this course within 18 months.

Entrance Requirements

Grade 10 (Std 8) or equivalent, or relevant work experience.

Student Assessment

You are required to complete and submit seven assignments and one portfolio of evidence (PoE) to the College for marking. All assessment tasks must be successfully passed in order to obtain the award.
All students are encouraged to work on all the assignments that are in the study guide. However, students are required to submit compulsory assignments that are provided in the Study Programme. Only these compulsory assignments will be marked and accounted for to be included in the final mark.

Certification

On successful completion of your assessments, you will receive your Damelin Correspondence College Event Planning Certificate.

Programme Duration

You should be able to complete the each National Certificate Level within 8 to 12 months

Entrance Requirements

  • A Senior Certificate or an appropriate National Certificate (N3), or a National Senior Certificate, or an equivalent qualification.
  • N4 to register for the N5
  • N5 to register for the N6

Student Assessment

The Department of Higher Education and Training is the examining body of these courses. At the end of your studies, you will have to write an external examination set by the DHET. To qualify to write the exam, you must submit all your assignments to Damlein Correspondence College before the closing dates, so that we can generate a predicate mark for you.

You will have to register and write your exams at a Public FET College Exam Centre. You will have to pay an exam fee at the specific FET College, which is not included in your course fee. You are reponsible for registering for your exams and for securing your exam venue at a FET College. You are also responsible for confirming the dates of your exams with the FET College before the registration cut off dates for the exams.
