    • Provides full text for nearly 600 journals nursing & allied health journals. CINAHL covers nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines.
  18. Citation Linker

    • The Citation Linker is a part of our SFX service. If you have an article citation from a bibliography or reading list, try using the Citation Linker to see if the article is available online or in the Library. Enter as much information as you have about the article in the appropriate boxes on the online form, and click on the SFX button in the lower right corner of the form. This will generate a window that provides links to available online full text.

    • CLOVERDEX is a database of indexed periodical articles collected by the company CLOVER S.A. (Pty). It contains information primarily connected with the dairy industry in general, but also related operational aspects such as dairy products, manufacturing, agriculture, animal husbandry, management, finance, distribution, sales, cooling, transportation, etc.

    • The Fiction database has been updated with records from the SACat, expanding and enhancing the database to 209 975 records. The database includes different formats of fiction records e.g. printed, braille and sound recordings, from various library collections in Southern Africa. The database is updated.

    • FS ArticleFirst is an OCLC index of articles from nearly 12,500 journals. Includes items listed on the table of contents pages of journals. Describes one article, news story, letter, or other item from a journal in each record. Provides a list of South African libraries that have the journal title for most items.

    • This scholarly art encyclopedia covers all aspects of Western and non-Western visual art. It includes the full text of The Dictionary of Art.
  41. Health Source: Academic/Nursing

    • Provides nearly 550 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for nearly 850 journals.
  42. Health Source: Consumer Edition

    • Covers consumer health information. This resource provides access to nearly 80 full text, consumer health magazines. This database also includes searchable full text for more than 1,000 health-related pamphlets and more than 130 health reference books.
  43. HS Talks : Business and Management Collection

    • Provides full-text access full text access to the world’s highest quality technical literature in engineering and technology.     • Index to South African Periodicals (ISAP) covers indexed articles from more than 900 South African periodicals. Specialist periodicals are indexed fully, whereas general and popular periodicals are indexed selectively.
  47. JSTOR

    • CPUT has access to over a thousand leading journals in the Arts & Sciences Collections and the Life Science Collection. Since it is an archive, we do not have access to the most recent current issues.

  50. Kovsidex

    • This database is compiled by the Research Institute for Education Planning of the Faculty of Education at the UOFS. Articles are selected according to the needs of the primary clients of the University of the Orange Free State. Also includes Research Institute for Education Planning (Riep) which covers a wide range of reference works on the theory and practice of education dating back to 1975-1997. From 1998 all Riep data was incorporated into Kovsidex.

  55. Mintek

    • Mintek Publications is a bibliographic database containing the results of Mintek’s original research in the fields of metals and industrial minerals. Topics include economic geology, mineralogy, minerals engineering, extraction technology, hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy, biotechnology, process chemistry, measurement and control, environmental control and physical metallurgy. The database consists of reports, patents, special publications, and papers generated from research done at Mintek and published in journals or presented at conferences.

  76. Rural and Legal Studies

    • Centre for Rural Legal Studies the main focus is on agriculture and agricultural workers on commercial farms in South Africa. Emphasis is placed on labour law and labour relations, working conditions, housing, tenure, socio-economic conditions, land reform and rural local government and gender aspects relating to the above. Coverage is both national and international.

    • SAFLII provides free access to legal information comprising mostly of case law and legislation from South Africa. SAFLII also hosts legal materials from other countries in the region.
  85. Sage Research Methods

    • This is an online research tool to help researchers design research projects, understand particular methods or identify a new method. It focuses on methodology rather than discipline.   93. South African Bureau of Standards (SABS)

    • The South African Bureau of Standards publish a large number of national standards. Each standard has a unique SANS number. You may read these standards online but due to SABS restrictions may not print them.
  94. South African Law Reports, 1947 to present

    • Included is the full text of judgments from 1947 to date. Judgments are published in the language in which they were initially reported.
