The strength in your qualification

Upon successful completion of the programme, ICB will issue learners with a Results Letter outlining the modules covered and a National Diploma: Financial Accounting, SAQA ID 20366 (Credits 280) with a FASSET endorsement will be awarded. Learner results will be recorded on the ICB National Learner Records Database within 3 months of completion.

**Whenever Damelin offers training towards a programme that will be awarded by another provider or institute, it is called an Agent Programme. In the case of an Agent Programme, Damelin registers the learners, provides tuition and conducts internal assessments. Programme Duration

You should be able to complete this course within 24 months.

Entrance Requirements

Learners need one of the following:

  • a National Senior Certificate;
  • a Senior Certificate;
  • an FETC; or
  • an N3 in the relevant specialisation area.

Student Assessment

The Department of Higher Education and Training is the examining body for these courses. At the end of your studies you will have to write an external examination set up by the DHET. To qualify to write the exam you must submit all your assignments to Damelin Correspondence College before the closing dates, so that we can generate a predicate mark for you.
You will have to register and write your exams at a FET College Exam Centre. You will have to pay an exam fee at the specific FET College, which is not included in your course fee. You are responsible for registering for your exams and for securing your exam venue at a FET College. You are also responsible for confirming the dates of your exams with the FET College, BEFORE the registration cut off dates for the exams

Certification

Upon successful completion of the N4+N5+N6 National Certificates and the relevant 18 months practical workplace learning, the learner will be awarded the National N Diploma Level 6 from the Department of Education.

Student Assessment

You will be assessed by means of Damelin Correspondence College assignments and Department of Higher Education and Training examinations. To qualify for a National Diploma, you are required to write an exam per subject for each level.

Award

Upon successful completion of your required exams for each level, you will be awarded your National Certificate: Engineering Studies by the Department of Higher Education and Training. In order to qualify for a National Diploma, you have to work 18 months in the field after achieving your N6.
