UWC Dentistry, We are a world-class oral health centre committed to the promotion of oral health through the excellence of its learning, services and research.
We are the largest dentistry faculty in South Africa, and produces 50% of all new dentists in the country.
We continue to play a leading role in the advancement of dentistry and oral health in the country and the region.
We train dental professionals at a range of diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and specialist levels.
We are also involved in local, regional and international research projects in areas such as HIV/AIDS, water fluoridation and dental health delivery.

The Faculty plays a prominent role in the advancement of oral health in South Africa and Africa in association with the WHO, by engaging with the broader social, political and economic determinants of oral health, and through the training of well-rounded professionals with a holistic understanding of development, health and oral health care.
