AISA strives to advance the broader HSRC objectives through coordinated alignment with the HSRC strategy and research programmes.

AISA continues to aspire to serve as a knowledge hub for conducting and disseminating multi-disciplinary research focusing on the African continent.

The HSRC is set to play a bigger role on the African continent – building on AISA to bring an Africa lens to the HSRC’s work. AISA is being repositioned and strengthened as part of this strategic planning process, to be both the catalyst and coordinator of closer collaboration on the continent.
