Stellenbosch University Honours, The programme consists of the advanced study of a number of compulsory modules in Political Science and a research assignment. It is aimed at decision-makers and analysts who require an in-depth understanding of the political processes and behaviour within South African society, and incorporates a comparative perspective as well as a practical skills component which involves an introduction to political attitudes survey research.

Admission requirements

A Bachelor’s degree with Political Science as one of the majors. An average mark of 65% for Political Science III is a minimum requirement. The final decision on admission rests with the departmental selection committee which also considers whether or not the applicant has the potential for undertaking independent research.
