Raphaeli Waldorf School Application Process
1. Fill out the preliminary application form on our website or email us.
2. You’ll be notified that we have received your application, invited to visit the school and meet Raphaeli’s administrator. We will also let you know if a place is available for your child at our school.
3. All parents are required to attend an Introductory Talk on Waldorf Education and Raphaeli in particular – the office will arrange this.
4. A meeting will be set up with the prospective class teacher, as well as a:
- three day trial period for children already in Primary School
- a day at Raphaeli with a parent for Kindergarten or Playgroup children
5. For the meeting with the class teacher you’ll need to bring:
- Child’s birth certificate
- Clinic Card or medical report
- Last school report
- Relevant reports such as OT report/ recommendations
- Information about any prescription medication
- Parent’s ID’s
- Transfer cards will be requested from previous school by our office
6. You’ll be required to sign the following forms after your interview:

- Declaration to be signed by parents
7. All children moving into Class One from Kindergarten or Grade R, will undergo the School Readiness Evaluation. This assessment gently assess physical, emotional and academic readiness for Class One.
8. We will let you know if your application for enrollment has been successful.
9. Following a successful application, you’ll be advised when your child may start school and Raphaeli Administration will provide you with an admissions pack including the Parents’ Handbook.
