PT Driver Training In-Car Lessons

  • Circle Check, control gauges
    • A preliminary check of the vehicle and its diagnostic indicators.
  • Proper engine start
  • Hand-over-hand steering control
    • This technique is important for maintaining proper control of the vehicle at all times and is an integral part of defensive driving.
  • Steering turn recovery

  • Lane changes M.S.B.
    • Checking your Mirror, Signalling, and checking your Blind-spot, or M.S.B., each time you change lanes helps ensure that you will see any potential hazard before you change lanes or directions.

  • Proper speed for conditions
    • Posted speed limits are meant for ideal conditions, so when the conditions change, it is important to adjust your speed limit to match.

    • Darkness, fog, rain, snow and ice are all conditions that make driving more difficult. PT Driver Education will instruct during these conditions, weather permitting. After completion of six hours in-car lessons you may choose to attend Skid Control training.  (certificate provided by Skid Control School on Completion )
