Peninsula Technikon (Belville) Film School students are unique individuals who have needs and talents that can only be met by an exceptional Film Production programme. Therefore, our programme strives to cultivate a supportive environment to maximize growth and to foster a professional work ethic.
Throughout the three-year National Diploma, students are involved in producing, directing, writing, shooting, editing, lighting and recording sound on all of the following: Documentaries, Music Videos, Public Service Announcements and Short Fiction Films. Our aim is to shape students for the real world of Production and to simulate industry conditions as closely as possible.
The use of smaller classes, with practical hands-on sessions supported by appropriate theory, is intended to create an optimal learning environment for students and our new High Definition Technology gives students the opportunity to work with the latest equipment.
Our students are also given many opportunities to work with professional clients, either during university projects or during a semester internship, allowing them to gain valuable experience and reach their full potential.
