Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Psychology Masters, The Master in Clinical Psychology at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa is an education programme which provides students with an in-depth knowledge of clinical psychology.
NMMU’s Master in Clinical Psychology is offered on either a full-time or part-time basis on the South Campus. Students complete practical work, theoretical modules, a treatise, and an internship. During the first year of study, practical work amounts to 20 hours per week. Students receive individual supervision for 1 hour each week, and group supervision for 2 hours each week throughout their work with between 4 and 5 clients each.
Based on proof of selection and proof of registration, students enrolled in the Master in Clinical Psychology are admitted to an internship in their second year of studies. Internship training lasts for at least 12 month and must be completed at an institution accredited for this purpose by the Professional Board for Psychology of the Health Professions Council of South Africa.

In addition, candidates must furnish the Head of the Department with the names of three referees, two of whom must be senior university lecturers who are able to report on their suitability for professional training.
