The Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication Design degree was curriculated to prepare students for a place in the world of visual communication, design, digital and advertising.
Through an emphasis on conceptual design thinking, students develop a signature creative skillset as well as an understanding of current market demands, trends and technology requirements.

Durban University of Technology Graphic Design Entry Requirements
In addition to the provisions of the General Rules, for admission to the Bachelor of Technology Degree a student must:
- Be in possession of a National Diploma in Graphic Design or a recognised equivalent qualification.
- Appear personally before a selection panel consisting of the Head of Department and staff of the Graphic Design Programme.
