Curro Roodeplaat is an independent school in Kameeldrift, Pretoria that provides high-quality education for learners from Grade R to Grade 12. Our small class sizes and enhanced curriculum empower learners with 21st-century skills and knowledge to grow into self-confident individuals and to reach their personal, educational and eventual workplace goals. Our dedicated teachers and well-rounded approach prepare learners for either the IEB examinations at the end of Grade 12, or the DHET National Certificate Vocational (NCV) Level 2 to Level 4 examinations.
Our nursery school, Curro Castle Roodeplaat, offers an integrated play-based programme to learners from 3 years to 5 years. View their webpage to see how we apply our internally-developed programme to support your child’s early learning and development goals.
At Curro Roodeplaat, we balance academic excellence with sports and cultural well-being, thereby ensuring that learners develop into well-rounded individuals. Our small class sizes and enhanced curriculum provide learners with an inherent dedication to hard work and excellence as well as 21st-century skills to prepare them for the workplace of the future. Therefore, our classrooms and facilities are fitted with state-of-the-art tools and learners may choose to use e-learning devices in the classrooms, rather than textbooks, from the intermediate phase onwards.
Our dedicated teachers give learners personal attention in the classroom, which helps to ensure that they achieve to the best of their abilities.
In addition to preparing for the IEB exam in Grade 12, learners with a Grade 9 pass may choose to follow a career-focused matric through NCV programmes that allow them to specialise from a young age. NCV programmes prepare learners for the workplace or tertiary studies within their chosen field, giving them a head start in life.
The National Certificate Vocational (NCV) is a high-standard, skills-focused qualification that runs parallel to the National Senior Certificate (NSC). Instead of Grades 10, 11 and 12, learners complete NCV Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4. An NCV Level 4 qualification is on the same NQF level as a Grade 12 certificate.
