Timetables and Assessment Section
This section delivers an important SALA service to both students and lecturers. The service includes:
Arrangements for examinations and/or examination processes
Maintenance and co-ordination of class and examination timetables

Handle enquiries about marks. Please enquire directly from the faculties.
Arrange special examinations. If a lecturer grants a student a special request on merit, the lecturer is responsible for making the arrangements.
Distance students write first and second opportunities at the examination centre where they are registered.
Full-time students write first and second opportunities on the campus where they are registered.
Application for extended writing time during examinations
Mafikeng Campus
The Timetables & Assessment Section makes arrangements for extended writing time during the examination as approved by the panel from the Student Counselling and Development Department.
The examinations are conducted at the Disability Unit Office.
Potchefstroom Campus:
If a lecturer grants a student a special request on merit, the lecturer is responsible for making the arrangements.
Students apply at the Student Guidance Services in building E14.
Deadlines: first semester: 10 May; second semester: 30 September.
Students must submit medical certificates with their application.
A committee determines the extra time per hour if the application is approved.
If the request is approved, students report to the Timetables and Assessment Section immediately after approval to submit their module codes.
Please note that the examination room has moved to F2-G13.
Vaal Triangle Campus:
The Timetables and Assessment Section arranges for extended writing time during examinations as approved by the Student Guidance Services/Student Disability Office.
Chancellor’s examination
The administrative managers at the respective faculties make arrangements with final-year students if they have been granted another opportunity to write an examination.

Copying of tests, which must be submitted two weeks before the test date
Issuing of test scripts and/or multiple-choice cards.
Potchefstroom Campus

Clashes
On the Potchefstroom Campus, lecturers or any stakeholder should refer students to the Timetables and Assessment Section to determine whether they have a clash or not.
Collection of tests during the semester and answer scripts after examinations
Lecturers or assistants must present their university cards when they come to collect the above-mentioned from the Timetables and Assessment Section.

Always use the template that is available on the network.
The template for question papers and papers for which the answers are completed on the question paper are available in Word.
Please do not use a previous question paper as master.
