Educare is a specialised early learning programme which focuses on preparing a young child for school. As a professional within this discipline you would have the privilege of playing a significant role in the formative years of a child’s life. With a core concentration on the first five years, you will be responsible for the development of the whole child. This includes physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually and culturally. You will learn all round development which will provide you with the knowledge to identify signs and symptoms of child illnesses, learn the methodology of planning and presenting lessons, how to make equipment for class, how to deal with staffing issues and how to organise budgets and finance related issues as required.
As a National N Diploma student in Educare, you will be equipped with both the theoretical and practical skills in subjects namely, day care communication, educational psychology, day care management, Educare didactics: theory and practical, Child Health and Entrepreneurship and Business Management.

The strength in your qualification

Upon successful completion of this programme, learners will receive a National Certificate at each Level N4, N5, N6 and a National N Diploma in Educare (on completion of N4-N6 and 18 months in-service training).
